Gamezod

Cookie policy

Gamezod sets necessary cookies to run, and analytics and marketing cookies only if you allow them. This page names each one. How we handle personal data in general is in the privacy policy.

Your choice

The banner on your first visit offers Accept all, Reject all and Settings. Reject is as easy as accept, and nothing optional is pre-selected. Your choice is saved for 12 months in the cookie gz_consent; after that we ask again. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland start with analytics and marketing off. Google's tags follow your choice through Google Consent Mode, and if you reject they may send pings that use no cookie or device identifier.

Necessary

These cannot be switched off because the site or its security depends on them.

  • gz_consentGamezod. Remembers your cookie choice. 12 months.
  • __cf_bmCloudflare. Tells people and bots apart so abusive traffic can be blocked. Up to 30 minutes. It is set only when Cloudflare needs it.

Analytics

Set only if you accept Analytics. Google Tag Manager loads the Google Analytics 4 tag; Gamezod does not add other analytics.

  • _gaGoogle Analytics. A random ID that recognises your browser between visits, to count visitors and pages. 13 months.
  • _ga_YJ74D7JG0BGoogle Analytics. Keeps the state of your current session. 13 months.

Marketing

Set only if you accept Marketing. They let Google Ads measure whether an ad led to a click on a partner link.

  • _gcl_auGoogle Ads conversion linker. Stores how you arrived from an ad. 3 months.
  • _gcl_awGoogle Ads. Stores the ad click ID, only if you arrived by clicking an ad. 90 days.
  • _gcl_lsGoogle Ads, in browser local storage. The same measurement information.

If you turn Analytics or Marketing off later, Gamezod deletes these cookies when it can, and Google's tags stop writing them.

Stored in your browser

These items sit in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. They never reach our servers and are needed for features you use.

  • gz-themeYour light or dark colour theme.
  • gz-recentYour recent searches.
  • gz-inv-recentThe last Steam IDs you entered in the inventory tools.
  • gz-basket-v1The skins in your comparison basket.
  • gz-views-v1, gz-list-viewSaved list filters and the compact or detailed list choice.

Returning visitors

gamezod.com used a different cookie banner before this one (Cookie-Script). If you made a choice there, Gamezod reads it once, saves it as gz_consent and then ignores the old cookie, so you are not asked twice. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change it.
