Tradeit review: instant sell fees, payouts and the 7-day hold

Tradeit has run since 2017. Instant sell takes a fee of 5% to 20% built into the price, and the cash then waits for Steam’s hold.

Where Tradeit ranks

Is Tradeit legit?

Yes. Tradeit is a registered US business that has operated since 2017 and follows KYC and AML rules. Its Trustpilot score is 4.7 from about 22,000 reviews.

Two things to understand before you sell: the fee is built into the instant price, and cash arrives only after Steam's trade hold.

What Tradeit is and who it suits

Tradeit lets you buy, sell and trade CS2 skins and other Steam items. It focuses on Steam items, especially CS2. You can deposit or withdraw skins from other games, but the site is built around CS2.

There is no peer-to-peer trading, so every trade goes through the site's trading bots. There is no dedicated mobile app, although the site works in a mobile browser. It suits traders who want to turn skins into site balance quickly or swap skins for other skins. Cash arrives only after Steam's 7-day hold, so it is a weaker fit if you need the money this week.

How to buy on Tradeit

You buy from the Store tab, using your balance. You can top up that balance with several payment methods. Tradeit has no built-in screenshot feature, so you cannot preview a skin before you buy it.

Tradeit fees

Instant sell carries a platform fee of 5% to 20%, depending on the item. It is already inside the price you are shown, so you will not see it as a separate line. Trading skins for skins through the bots costs 2% plus $0.05.

Paying out by bank transfer or crypto costs a separate 2%, with a $10 minimum. Store balance is free, but it can only be spent on Tradeit.

How to sell on Tradeit

Choose the items to sell, take the instant price and complete the trade with a Tradeit bot. The sale appears in your Revenue balance at once. From there you can spend it in the store or withdraw cash.

Tradeit tracks three balances: Revenue, Trade and Store. Only Revenue from sold items can be withdrawn. Trade and Store balance cannot.

How long do Tradeit withdrawals take?

"Instant" refers to the sale and your site balance. Cash payouts wait for Steam's 7-day trade protection. In total, allow 7 to 10 days from the sale. A bank transfer then needs 2 to 3 business days to arrive.

Reversing a trade during that window triggers a 30-day Steam trade restriction and a permanent Tradeit ban.

Payout methods and ID checks

Cash goes out by bank transfer in the US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Israel, or by Bitcoin, Ethereum (ERC20), USDT (ERC20) or Solana.

Tradeit may verify your name, age and payment method. Bank payouts need account details that match your name.

Checklist before you sell

  • Remember that the shown price already includes the 5% to 20% fee.
  • Plan for the 7-day hold, and do not reverse the trade.
  • Check that your bank details match your name.
